Double R Hat Company was built on the kind of life that doesn’t draw attention to itself — early mornings, long miles, and work that doesn’t end when the sun goes down.

Rooted in the heritage of Texas ranching, this brand traces back to generations shaped by the land. My grandfather worked the LBJ Ranch, dedicating his life to hard work, responsibility, and a dream that never left him. That spirit continues here — not as nostalgia, but as a guide for where we’re going.

Raised in West Texas, I learned early that resilience isn’t something you talk about — it’s something you live. Those lessons carried forward into service in the United States Air Force and continue today in law enforcement. Different environments, same principles: show up, do the job, take care of the people around you.

Double R exists to reflect that way of life. Not as a symbol of status, but as something meant to be worn, used, and lived in — through long days, uncertain weather, and whatever comes next.

At its core, this brand is also part of a larger vision: one day establishing a ranch dedicated to equine-assisted therapy for veterans, first responders, and others carrying the invisible weight of service and trauma. Until that vision becomes reality, a portion of proceeds supports organizations working toward the same purpose.

The connection between people, animals, and land has a way of restoring what the world can wear down.
